I have considerable experience working with performing arts companies providing support and advice on all aspects of creating the recorded material. I can supply budget analysis and workflow logistics, marketing campaigns, distribution strategies and further exploitation of the recorded material.

My early career experience in cameras and lighting helps to navigate all aspects of the recording process including post production.

As a multi camera operator I started by working on all fourteen Gilbert and Sullivan Operas. There were then Twenty live broadcasts on Channel 4 goes to Glyndebourne including the opening of the new theatre with the Marriage of Figaro Directed by Derek Bailey. Over sixty operas and ballets around the world including Joan of Arc Directed by Werner Herzog in Bologna, Don Giovanni from Zurich Opera Directed by Brian Large and three ballets (Swan Lake, Stoneflower and Coppelia) from the  Kirov in St Petersberg  Directed by Colin Nears. Senior cameraman on Phedre, the first NTlive live to cinemas Directed by Robin Lough. Camera supervisor on the first 3D Ballet screened in cinemas from the Maryinsky Theatre  in St Petersburg Directed by Ross McGibbon. Over fifty classical concerts for the BBC including The Proms, Cardiff Singer, Choir of the year  and Leeds Piano competition.Many Directed by Rhodri Huw. Over one hundred theatrical recordings for the Theatre Museum/V&A video archive.

As a single camera operator Patrick Lau’s BBC drama Countdown to War, The Stepdaughter a short opera directed by Katie Mitchell and Mathematics of a kiss written by Anthony Mingella.

Documentaries  in India (Homeless children), China(single child families), Cambodia(Kanta Bopa childrens hospital )and USSR (The Golden ring).

Multi camera lighting from many Opera Houses including ROH Covent Garden, ENO, Glyndebourne, Stopera in Amsterdam, Teatro Real in Madrid. Lighting for theatre from RSC and Royal Court. Classical Concerts including  Assumption Cathedral at the Kremlin in Moscow, Kultur Fur Alle in Zurich, Chamber concerts fromWigmore Hall, Polesden Lacey, Uppark House and Cadogan Hall.

My ealiest credit as producer was to record the inaurgural concert by the Qatar symphony Orchestra in Doha. Not an straightforward recording in 2008 with a multi camera derig from London.

My most recent in 2022 a live International broadcast for NHK  to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
